IMOB23 - A Marcus Wallenberg symposium
Welcome to the 2nd International Meeting on Optical Biosensors – IMOB23
Optical biosensors are fundamental tools for imaging the complex and dynamic processes in living cells. A wide range of sensors are available for real-time collection of detailed information about the kinetics and spatial localization of various cellular events, biochemical reactions, enzyme activities and concentration changes of ions and metabolites. The field is rapidly growing and ongoing research encompasses development and application of new fluorophores and fluorescent proteins, new biosensors and sensors with improved sensitivity and specificity, as well as optogenetic tools that enable non-invasive manipulation of biological processes. It also includes development of new imaging techniques with improved spatial and temporal resolution.
The purpose of this conference is to gather and consolidate expertise in the field to share and reflect on the latest information and to promote accelerated development in the field. The meeting is directed to all scientists with an interest in optical biosensors as tools to answer scientific questions in any area of biology and biomedical sciences.
The meeting will be in-person with oral presentations and poster sessions. No virtual option will be available.
